Hey, thanks but no thanks. I believe in science and facts and actual things I can see and put my hands on. Religion is none of those things. God isn’t real. No one magically created earth, no one magically man, the Bible is a book of made up stories created by man that have been misinterpreted for hundreds of years. So I’ll pass. All that nonsense I hear folks spew about religion just sounds like junk to me. Mythological creatures that aren’t real, like unicorns and fairy dust.
If it was in fact real, there is a lot of explanations that need to be had for the things that are wrong in the world. We can start with Covid and the half million dead ppl. If there truly was a god, why would a plague like this even happen? There are so many stories in the Bible that don’t make a lick of sense. How the children of the first couple came to be when they were clearly born of incest, but there wasn’t a female child but only male children, so they reproduced with their mother? Supposedly?
Yeah, If Jesus truly did exist, why in all these years have we never been able to find his bones if we know the exact location of where he supposedly arose from the dead from? If the Bible was written from his POV, why and how did he write it? If there were only two ppl alive who is telling the story? Then there were more than two ppl Alive at the beginning? But if all these stories were true? Who was left to tell the tales of the world after everyone was killed after the great storm when only Noah and his family were supposedly left from the ark? Why was the story not written from their POV, they were the only living creatures besides the animals in the world?
None of it makes scientific sense. I can’t believe any of that would be true, and would never believe that it would be real. I let ppl have their beliefs. That’s on them. I know there is no magical sky fairy, no magical sky kid. None of it is real. But if that’s what keeps ppl going day in and day out, who am I to judge. I can’t fault them for having been told whatever all their life.
Prayer doesn’t solve a thing. Medical science, fixes life. I can get cancer tomorrow but prayer will cure absolutely nothing. Modern proven medicine will give me a fighting chance at life. A preacher will take my money and say some words but none of that will heal me or cure me. But a doctor on the other hand, may just extend my life by quite some years.
Why do you think churches are so against paying taxes? B/c they want to be deregulated b/c they know if ppl knew the truth that everything they tell wasn’t the truth, they’d lose a lot of money. Ppl would stop blindly following them. Folks give so much of their money to churches to never receive anything in return but empty promises and broken dreams. Words that will never do anything for them in the long run. A pastor or preacher who if and when the time comes will probably turn the other cheek. Miracles are miracles, or maybe it’s some divine medical mystery that has yet to be solved. But I trust medical doctors who have trained for years to save my life, over someone who has been studying made up stories for a couple years and can only quote some words from a book to think I’m going to get better.
I like talking with you, I do. But if this is a topic that you feel you need to push forward, then this will have to be where we will have to part ways. I don’t believe in this mess from my POV. And I don’t want to continue to have or have it brought up. I’m firm in my belief if you can’t tell, that everything regarding religion is hogwash. We can talk about anything else under the sun, but this is one thing you will never change my mind on.
