OMG … wait I have to repeat that OMG
Never thought I’d be so happy to spend $10.00 in my life but alas I am. Now I am an avid speed racing bad guy punching action film type girl. Then you throw in the mix of Michelle Rodriguez and another muscle bound girl fighting…i’m in drool lesbian heaven. It also helped that my straight girl crush Ludacris was in it too…I was destined to see this film.
Basically the film takes off where F&F5 left off. Dom and the crew are lounging in their happy state of mind after stealing $100 million from Rio, now living in a country with no extrication rules (meaning the US Gov’t can’t call their gov’t and say hey send these guys back to us). Then along come Hobbs (Rock) with a photo of Letty (**drool**) who supposedly died in FF4. Well at the end of 5 they revealed she was still alive and well…just with a bout of amnesia She doesn’t remember her past only the people she is working for now. Well Dom and the crew get together again (minus the spanish guys who are off in casino land winning more with their 10 million) and then tell Hobbs to give them immunity and Letty and they’ll help. He agrees…well what ensues is a 2 hour long thrill seeking ride of fast cars, banged up cars, some funny lines (like Han & Tyrese’s dialogue…
T: You like her don’t you…omg you’re in love with her
H: **gives him the side eye
T: Look a girl like that you have to give her either a big rock or you gotta have a big you-know-what
H: Well then I guess that’s why your girls are always blinged out huh?
**insert oohhhs and ooooooohhhs from crowd**)
then a few predictable movie parts, but the ending…
After the massive tank scene and they catch this Shaw guy..I’m wondering .. where the eff is this massive plane scene they told us they would have with Dom ramming a car through the plane’s nose??? Well…
The girl helping Hobbs…turns out she works for the bad guys…no damn wonder they got the upper hand. Told you this was a spoiler. Here is the plane scene. Lots of bow hooks at this point, the death of a character (i won’t say who). Now I have to go and watch FF3 (yeah the crappy one with Bow Wow in it and the country boy with the country accent) all over again.
Basically they filmed them in bad order…it was supposed to be FF1, FF2, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF3, and dun dun dun FF7.
I do believe that 7 will be the end of the series (unless they bring back the character that died … but then the love interest of that character is now dead too) but well we’ll see. You seem to never know with this group…people tend to die and come back to life magically, maybe the spanish guys will make a cameo appearance.
Either way….go see this shit…like really why are you still reading this…go see it like now…run … not walk..run to the theater!!!
